Back to work....

Today was my first day back at work and Harrison's first full day at day care. He did really well...he ate 3, 6oz bottles of milk, took a couple short naps and one longer nap, and pooped through two outfits! He cried minimally and only fussed for about the last hour. They said he did really well! (and now I am doing laundry)

Todd did daycare drop off today so that I would not be crying all of the way to work. So, when they left I felt really sad but by the time I got to work I was doing better. Everyone at work was happy to have me back - which was a good feeling! And, I was not booked all day with patients so it was a bit of an easier transition. I was able to pump with no problem and sort through 1300 emails!!! and a few phone messages. I also had lunch with the girls which was great. I called the daycare once around lunch time and left a little early to pick H up.

Even though it was a tough day...we made it through. Harrison is a champ and seems totally unfazed. I guess I should follow his lead.

This is a picture from dinner last night in Tiburon. The weather was so nice that we ate outside on the water! Harrison loved watching the flag flying in the wind and the boats in the marina. Then we came home and went through the bedtime routine.

Our weekday routine begins....The great thing is that I am only working Monday through Thursday and will have a little more time with H.

  1. Wow, Todd looks a lot like his Dad in that picture. I never noticed that resemblance before!

I'm glad the first day went well, I know you were nervous about it.
