Hoppy Easter!

For Harrison's first Easter we made our way down to San Diego to visit Great Aunt Diane and Captain Dave. We flew down on Friday evening and Harrison was great on the plane. The flight was not full so he could stretch out and play on the seat between Todd and I. Once we arrived we set up in the guest quarters. Since Harrison is not rolling over yet, we set him up on a workout mat with a couple of blankets. He loved it...although he is becoming an inchworm. At one point, I woke up and he had nearly inched himself under the bed.

Saturday morning we went down to the beach for breakfast and a walk along the boardwalk. Diane and Dave's favorite place is called Kono's (like my nano's name - Cono). The weather was beautiful and we stood on the pier for a little while watching the surfers.

Saturday was so relaxing. After our time at the beach we went back to the house and hung out on the patio. Harrison needed his sun hat while he stayed and hung out with Diane and Dave while Mom and Dad went for a bike ride. What a workout...I am still not back in shape - but getting closer!

After our bike ride we hung out watching basketball and then got ready for our date night. Diane and Dave set up a special night for Todd and I at one of their favorite restaurants. While they were babysitting Harrison we were getting the royal treatment with the chef's tasting menu! Wow! Dinner was amazing! And, it was so nice to have a night out with my wonderful husband! Not only did we have a great night out, Harrison slept from about 11pm until 6am. Yay!

Sunday morning we made our way to church - where there was an Easter lily on the alter in honor of Harrison. Then off to the San Diego Yacht Club for brunch. The food was so good and we got to eat outside on the deck in the sun...it could not have been better. Todd is really falling into his role as Daddy. He and Harrison love to play together and make faces at each and Todd has begun to like pushing the stroller around. Here he is heading down to the boat....

Harrison's first boat ride was a huge hit! Harrison loves to be outside and he loved being on the water. He slept through church and brunch and was awake for nearly the whole boat ride.

He had his first lesson from the Captain on driving the boat and navigating the waters....maybe he will grow up to drive a boat one day.

We all had a lot of fun this weekend and Harrison loved meeting Aunt Diane and Captain Dave!
