The Murph....

So, a couple of weeks ago I had mentioned Murphy's adventures at Pet Camp while we were in Tahoe. Here is the story...I will keep it short. (if you have a weak stomach do not look at the below picture!)

At Pet Camp the dogs have two hours of playtime with a group of dogs each day. Murphy was playing with another dog and apparently, according to the camp counselors, unprovoked another dog bit him in the rib cage. Murphy was very good and did not bite back....but he did need stitches and a drain. Poor guy....he was taking antibiotics and pain meds...although it really did not seem to bother him. It bothered me, the drain did its job, as you might guess.

The Murph has healed like a champ...he had not been scratching the wound and his fur is starting to grow back.

Murphy is headed back to Pet Camp for Easter while we visit Todd's Aunt and Uncle in San Diego. We expect no further problems.

On a lighter note, Murphy and Harrison are becoming fast friends. Murphy always checks on Harrison and loves to give him kisses. Murphy was so happy to see Harrison when we got back from Rockford. The feeling is mutual because Harrison loves to watch Murphy move around the room and loves to give him smiles. He even seems to love the kisses. They even sleep together...sometimes Harrison sleeps on our bed during the day because it is very bright in his room because of a skylight. We are planning to get a shade this weekend......

(For those of you who are worried that they are sleeping on the same bed...I never leave them unattended. Murphy always leaves the room with me.)

Even when Harrison is sleeping in his crib, Murphy likes to lay on Harrison's blanket because it smells so good. It will be fun as Harrison gets older to see him and Murphy play together. Although I don't want to rush it:)

For those of you that are thinking 'wow, sarah has posted a lot over the last week'....it is March madness and I can only watch so much basketball. Ha!

  1. Ha! Sarah, why do you think I blog so much? I need something to do while my husband watches sports!

I'm so sorry about Murphy, I'm sure that was very upsetting for you. I'm glad he's doing better now.

Hope you all have a wonderful Easter! Miss you!
