Rockford Adventures continued....

I mentioned two highlights from our trip to Rockford in my previous post and here are a few more details!

We spent lots of quality time with Nana, Opa, and Aunt Stacey. We also spent the day with Nana Theresa and Nano Cono (my grandparents) - my nana got diagnosed with shingles while we were there. That gave us a scare as we thought that Harrison could get very sick - but after a call to the pediatrician we were reassured that we should not worry. The chances of him getting the chicken pox were very slim since I am breastfeeding my immunity should be passed to him. And, as long as the lesions are covered the illness should not be passed to others (a little medical tidbit for the day).
In addition to spending the day with my Nano and Nana my Nana and I spent the day cooking. And, my mom, dad, sister, one of my aunts and a couple of uncles and cousins came over and we all ate dinner together. Harrison met his cousin Natalie and she loved him.

This is my Mom and Uncle Ross holding their grand babies. This picture is significant because my mom's grandparents were Nana Lily and Nano Ross and this is the second generation of Nana Lily and Nano Ross. Pretty cool!

Throughout our stay we were preparing for a wedding shower for my soon to be sister in law, Amy! She came into town late Friday night with her two sisters, mom, and grandma. It was great to spend some time with her family. They are so nice!

Tony also surprised us coming home to meet his new nephew! Anthony was very cute with Harrison. He held him like a natural and was quick to act when he heard Harrison crying! He also said 'I might be biased but Harrison seems like the cutest baby I have ever seen!'. I had to agree!

The wedding shower was a huge success and worth all of the work! (My mom really did most of it before we got there last week to help!) It was lot of fun and Amy seemed really happy!

We returned from Rockford on Monday. Harrison was a champ on the flights. He mostly ate, slept and smiled at the people sitting next to us. He cried a little and we got a few looks from the people surrounding us - although I just smiled back at them and they turned back around.
We were sad to leave but excited to come home! We missed Daddy and he missed us! I have been playing catch up since our return with laundry, interviewing babysitters, waiting for people to come work on the house and then they never show up (ha!), etc. Despite all of this busy work it is nice to be home!

Thanks Mom and Dad for a great week! Looking forward to seeing you in June!

One last thing....A quick update on Harrison.
He is growing so fast and seems to be getting longer (taller) everyday! He is really alert looking around and smiling all of the time! He is cooing - which is so cute! You can't help but smile every time he makes noise (except for screaming!). He is awake more now during the day and hates going to sleep, he would rather look around than succumb to sleep. With that being said he is nearly sleeping through the night. Yay!!
