long and thin...

Yesterday was the big four month visit to the pediatrician - although he is really 4.5 months. But whatever!

Harrison is following in his daddy's footsteps becoming a long and thin little man.

Here are the stats:
Weight - 14lbs 7 oz (just under the 50th percentile but he was sick this month, so the doctor is not concerned)
Height - 25.75in (between the 50th and 75th percentile)
Head - 16.75in (50th percentile)

Harrison is basically middle of the road with his stats except for height. But who are we kidding, he is a Schneider. He is above average in my opinion with the cute factor. The pediatrician called him charming! He is becoming a very social being and not interested in eating if there is anything else going on around him. When the doctor came in yesterday he was covered up nursing. But as soon as Harrison heard the door open and Dr. DeGoff's voice he started squirming and whining to get out of under the blanket so he could see what it going on. Then big smiles!! A few big screams during immunizations, but he got over it quickly.

We got information on starting solids and teething. We will begin solids at 6 months - the most recent research says this it is best for their digestive tract and there is less risk of obesity by waiting. Also they say it is best to wait until the baby can sit upright unassisted...which he is working on but has not mastered. Teething could happen anytime...but lets hope it's not too soon!

Lots of fun things to look forward to.
