Harrison has his first cold and fever....I guess this is just the beginning when you have your child in daycare. Or so I hear. He started getting congested and sneezing a little this weekend. I have read that infants usually do not have environmental allergies but I thought - we spent a lot of time outside this weekend and maybe that was why he was sneezing, etc. Well, yesterday afternoon I picked H up from daycare and he felt a little warm. We got home and I took his temp and it was 101.2. It figures that there was a recall on Tylenol, so we had none in the house. I called Todd and being the good daddy he brought home some walgreens brand tylenol and we were in business.
He (not Todd) woke up intermittently throughout the night a little whiny but it was not awful....today he still has a fever of 100.7 so he could not go to daycare - and I stayed home from work. It is probably better anyway, he will sleep better at home and I would rather take care of him when he is not feeling well. So here we are...I guess it gives me time (while he is sleeping) to work on my lecture for next week. Or procrastinate on my lecture and blog, do laundry, clean a little.....
In other news, Todd escaped from Alcatraz on Sunday - for those of you that don't know 'Escape from Alcatraz' is a triathlon in which the athletes jump off a boat near Alcatraz, swim in the bay to the shore about 1.5 miles, bike 18 miles, and run 8 miles (apparently the toughest, hilliest run in all triathlons according to the announcer). To participate you have to be chosen out of a lottery. Todd and our friend Jon participated! It was Todd's first triathlon and he did great finishing in about 3 hours and 23 minutes.
Here are some pics from the race and H and I cheering him on.

Wow Todd, I'm so impressed! Way to go!
